These plots are correlations of MSLP at one grid point with every other MSLP grid point. That is, when the images says, "MSLP correlations for lon=180.0 lat=0.0" the image represents correlations between the MSLP at lon=180.0 and lat=0.0 and every other grid point. Naturally the correlation between one grid point and itself is 1.0 which shows up as red. Use the arrow keys to navigate. There are over 10,000 images here!

Data used are the NCEP2 reanalyses. Correlations are calculated for the years 1979 through 2007.
